City’s U12 Foyle Cup squad are having their presentation night this evening in The Armagh City Hotel, as they look back on a great week on and off the field at last month’s tournament. The boys and management will reflect on their escapades, and will get a chance to celebrate their achievements just as training starts back for the new season.
As the tournament is fondly remembered tonight, it also gives City Youth and U12 management and players a chance to thank everyone who supported them in the venture, and made their participation at this leading youth football tournament possible. Thanks go firstly to Homecare for their continued generous support of all youth football within the club, and also those individuals and companies who helped sponsor the U12s: Nugent and Gibney, First Trust Armagh, Bubba’s Bootcamp, Monaghan Brothers, Maison Real Estate.
Huge thanks must go also to all the players and families for their efforts in fund-raising, from raffles to calendars and cow pat challenges, the effort and time that went into this venture was substantial and our sincerest thanks to all involved for making the week possible.
It should be remembered too that the players managed to find time in their busy schedules to do some fundraising of their own – for iCare and cancer research – with a spin challenge at Sainsbury’s in Armagh!
Have a great evening, folks, you’ve earned it!
