Armagh set sights on cup encounter

Armagh City take on top junior opposition in the fourth round of the Intermediate Cup this Saturday.
For they entertain Fivemiletown United at Holm Park in a match which kicks-off at the revised time of 3pm.
The visitors are currently lying in joint third place in the Mid-Ulster Intermediate League ‘A’ but have matches in hand on those above them.
With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Fivemiletown will arrive in Armagh full of confidence, backed by a large travelling support.
Certainly, City will not be taking them lightly as, in the past, the Holm Park side have fallen to so-called lesser opposition.
But, as beaten Intermediate Cup finalists last season, Armagh will be going flat out to make the latter stages of the torrnament once again.
After their 3-1 Championship One win over Lisburn Distillery on Saturday last, City will be confident mood that they can progress.
The first-team squad is in fine fettle at present, especially at Holm Park, and it would be a major shock if they were to lose the match.
Armagh manager Marty Rice may make some changes to his starting line-up this weekend, with one or two players from the bench making the starting line-up, but it is unlikely that he takes a risk on anyone outside the Firsts’ panel.
The Armagh City v Fivemiletown United Intermediate Cup fourth round match kicks-off at Holm Park, Armagh, this Saturday, January 24, at 3pm.
All welcome.
