City Ladies hosted Knockbreda and controlled the game from start to finish, despite the Belfast side taking a surprise lead. The ladies showed great spirit to come back and break the Knockbreda defence, eventually winning with an emphatic 10-2 scoreline.
Then on Wednesday night the Ladies travelled to Banbridge expecting a hot evening game, but a downpour late in the day changed conditions significantly. The game was played at a fast pace and City ladies held tight, giving their hosts little opportunity to break down the Armagh backline, before City took a deserved lead three minutes from half time through Claire Taylor. The second half saw Armagh keeping Banbridge at bay and using a counter-attacking style to keep Banbridge on the back foot.
Next match is at home to top side Blackieville Ladies at Ardmore on Friday 5 August, kick-off 7.30pm.
