Commercial Manager hopes for support from people of Armagh

Following a meeting with the management committee, Ivor McGucken has agreed to continue in his role as Commercial Manager for
the club. His appointment was announced at a club meeting on Thursday night that was specially arranged to discuss how the club could move forward after the decision to part company with Fundacion Marcet.

Ivor will play a key role in helping to stabilise the clubs financial position. As well as looking to continue our relationship with existing sponsors, he will be actively looking to attract new sponsorship to the club.

After agreeing to continue in his commercial role, Ivor stated “Along with other clubs I fully realise that these are indeed challenging times, but I know that the people of Armagh want to see their football club flourish both on and off the field. That can only come about with a lot of hard work from everyone and I can assure everyone that with the help of the Committee, I will certainly do my utmost to ensure that financially the club has the stability to allow it to move forward over the next few years.”

Chairman Philip Johnston commented “I’m delighted, as are all at the club that Ivor has once again agreed to continue in his role as commercial manager at Armagh City. It is a vital job at the club and Ivor has all the expertise to succeed as he has done over the past six seasons.” He continued “We would also like to invite members to contact Ivor with any information regarding the commercial side of the football club that could help the club in regard to match day sponsors, ball sponsors or signs around all the ground.”
