Armagh City return to action on Saturday with the club's first match in the new look Co-operative Insurance Cup, with a tricky first leg tie away to Banridge Town.
The clubs did of course meet only a week and a half ago, with City 3-0 comfortable winners at home to a Town side who ended the match with only nine players on the pitch. A 5-2 hammering of Loughgall only four days later with ex-Glenavon hitman Aidan McVeigh netting four did however show that the Town did not do themselves justice at Holm Park.
The County Down side are of course led by former City manager Colin Malone and his assistant Neal Carson. Banbridge have former Eagles on the pitch too, with Paul Keenan, Seamus Kane and Conor Larkin all featuring. Larkin recieved a red card in the league match but is likely to be at the heart of the defence on Saturday. City meanwhile will be without the services of former Banbridge players Shane McGeown wand Mark Hamilton through suspension, whilst Gavin McParland and Brian McCone will again be unavailable as a result of GAA commitments.
